Welcome to Take 5 Tuesday, your opportunity to learn a little more about the Dog Tired staff. Every Tuesday, a different staff member will answer 5 questions about themselves and their life. So sit down, take 5, and learn about the folks caring for your furry family members.

What do you like to do most in your free time?

I have a love and passion for sunshine, boating and the beach. If there are places and activities where I can include my dogs – then that’s even better! I love to travel and visit friends that live in other states. I especially love spring and summer so I can attend outdoor music festivals with friends.

What is your favorite restaurant in Charleston?

This is a tough choice as we have so many WONDERFUL choices. My favorite steak and dessert spot is Halls Chophouse downtown. My favorite country cooking is The Stono Market Café on Johns Island. Favorite pizza is Woddy’s on Folly Beach and my favorite cheeseburger can be found at Southern General on Johns Island. My favorite seafood place is Coast in downtown Charleston. And my favorite breakfast place is the Early Bird Diner in West Ashley…or The Lost Dog on Folly.

What is your favorite event in Charleston?

You really can’t go wrong with any event on Folly Beach. From Mardi Folly Gras, to The Taste of Folly – anything with food is among my top choices. I attended the Charleston Mac Off in 2014 and I’ll never miss it again!!

Five little known facts about Gray:

I have seen over 400 Phish and Widespread Panic concerts.

My sisters and I are obsessed with Michael Jackson. I even painted the Folly Boat for him when he died.

I say “might could” as a part of my regular vocabulary.

I love to go on cruises.

And finally – I visited Australia and New Zealand when I was 18 and paid for the whole trip myself.

Tell us something that’s on your bucket list.

I want to travel to Thailand and Alaska. I also want to learn the Michael Jackson Thriller dance.
