Is your dog a little on the heavy side? Your dog’s weight should always be something of concern, and making sure they are maintaining an active lifestyle can benefit them in the long run.

The tricky thing is exercising your dog along with juggling your busy schedule.  That is why we have compiled the following list of ways to exercise your dog without impeding on your schedule

If you have a multi level home with stairs, instead of walking every time, have your dog run up and down them with you! This promotes agility in your dog as well as exercise! They may wonder why the sudden change of pace, but we are betting they will want to follow you wherever you go- you are their favorite human!

Some dogs work for treats more than others.  When it comes to trying to keep your dog’s weight down, you may think that this is counterproductive, however, if you have them working more than they are consuming, the pounds will shed!

If you are having trouble taking the time to walk your dog, lucky for you that our dog walkers at Dog Tired have been trained specifically to walk your dog! We can walk your dog while you are at work so you don’t have to worry about your pup! Ask us about our dog walking packages in the Charleston, SC area!

You know what else will help your dog exercise? Have them stay at Dog Tired during your work day so they can play on our puppy playground with their friends! Our small play groups consist of 10-15 dogs max, and are always supervised by a trained Dog Tired Pet Tech.

We also have the option to enroll your dog in Daycare 2.0 Program including Fitpaws, the canine fitness program that supports their enrichment of body AND mind! Through core strength and balancing, puzzles, trail walks and games, their whole body inside and out will receive a workout!
