The Dog Days of Summer are almost over and the kids will soon be heading back to school.

As we are hustling and bustling to get back in the groove of things and get our lives back on track, there is one very important thing that must not go unnoticed! - The family dog.

Lots of changes happen for our pets when school begins. Summer might have been filled with a ton of fun activities, a house full of children, playing in the yard, and maybe even some fun pool and sprinkler time. Then all of a sudden the fun stops. One day, the pet is suddenly all alone in a quiet house, possibly in a crate wondering what happened.

During this time consider arranging for a pet sitter to come and check on your pet about midday.

Puppies especially will need someone to come and take them out and make sure their housebreaking skills are not lost.

Pet sitters helps break up a boring day of hanging at home alone.  Another option for dogs is to consider a doggie daycare a few times a week!

If you are thinking about hiring a pet sitter or taking your fur baby to daycare, make sure to book in advance! This time of year can be the busiest for Pet Service companies.

This year Dog Tired is hosting their 1st Annual Bark - To - School Pawty.
Give your fur baby the opportunity to take Bark School Photos!
Bark to School Photos and Pawty will be on Sept 14th, 5th, & 16th.

I would like to be informed if you all design a class to teach comfort to dogs with separation anxiety. My dog barks crazy when I leave him alone, even if only for an hour. All the neighbors think he is mistreated and leave me notes on my door that he is crying and something must be wrong. Meanwhile, he is actually spoiled rotten, and just hates to be alone. I have not come up with a way to resolve this, so if you all have a class for him, please let me know.
